Café Bedda has now been open for 7 years & we are still enjoying bringing you all the classic Sicilian dishes. Not much has changed since day one. .

From the ever-popular gnocchi di ricotta, the pork & fennel salsicce or the artisan style pizze, there is always a great dish on offer. Now with our seasonal menu, you get to enjoy new, traditional Sicilian dishes all year round.

FUNCTIONS: Birthday, christening, product launch or a business function/meeting, at Café Bedda we are more than happy to assist. The restaurant is available during the day all week, especially Saturday & Sunday (during the day only). Monday night is our night off but we would be more than happy to cater for a large group to come in & for us to cook you some great Sicilian food.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS: We understand that in this day & age, certain dietary requirements are part of life. Gluten, Lactose, Vegetarian, Vegan or nut allergies can be catered for with our dishes. Just let our floor staff know before you order. Sorry, we don’t do any gluten free pizza, but we do gluten free pasta (and other great food).

LOCATION/PARKING: We are located at 242 High Street between Mitchell St & Bastings St, directly opposite the Uniting Church. Street parking is available, but limited. There are 2 car parks located close by, one in Mitchell St & the other behind the Northcote town hall.

12 BASIC FACTS ABOUT CAFÉ BEDDA:
1. Café Bedda is fully LICENSED (NO BYO).
2. Our pizza is classified as a large size (6 slices) & are as close to traditional as Italian pizza should be.
3. Sorry, we don’t deliver & we don’t do a Hawaiian.
4. Cakes are not allowed to be brought into the premises. We adhere to the Food & Safety regulation. Our chefs are more than happy to make a cake for you (48hrs notice is required)
5. Friday & Saturday nights are really busy so we try to accommodate everyone & have two sittings. The early sitting has 3 options & starts at 5.30pm, 6pm or 6.30pm & the second sitting begins at 8pm or 8.30pm. Remember, we sometimes get last minute cancellations so try your luck.
6. Bookings are recommended but we always seem to have a few tables floating around for last minute walk ins & calls. We have 4 tables outside which can also be booked.
7. The biggest table we have is for 10 people. Any more than that becomes a special request. Please call to discuss alternative arrangements.
8. Our prices have been pretty consistent since day one. We are conscious about the economy so we have maintained our commitment to bringing you a value for money menu.
9. Café Bedda is classified as a casual establishment catering for every customer, including families. (Booster seats available)
10. The restaurant can be a little loud on the busy nights… Exactly like a Sicilian home would sound like during dinner.
11. As funny as it sounds (due to our name) we are not a café.
12. We will try our best to make your visit to Café Bedda the best possible Sicilian food experience, without having to travel 15,480km (distance from Melbourne to Palermo, Sicily)
